ADVOCACY

Our advocacy aims to improve the welfare of refugees both on the move and settling in new countries.

Whilst aspiring to drive policy change and often working on its implementation, we understand the complexity of the migration landscape. There is so much more than policy that can make a powerful difference, meaning our advocacy does not just target policymakers but civil sector leaders and organisations, the general public, and more. Crucially, however, we are committed to including youth in this conversation, and empowering them to drive progress.

Beyond this we aim to create the conditions for change, interested in creating greater public solidarity with refugees, putting together impactful partnerships, building capacity, and inspiring campaigns across the world.

We execute the above through policy advocacy, raising awareness and building capacity, partnerships, and campaigns. We work on a national, regional and global scale, though are interested in hearing from people working at all levels.

POLICY ADVOCACY

Our main advocative work currently centres on championing our policy solutions through consultation.

This is achieved via invitations to speak to international forums and at global conferences, where we influence migratory governance frameworks.

Alongside this, we advise and support the work of UN agencies, and are an official signatory to the United Nations Women, Peace, Security and Humanitarian Action Compact (WPS-HA).

RAISING AWARENESS
AND BUILDING CAPACITY

Our advocacy team breaks our policy papers down into accessible and engaging content formats, alongside providing situational updates and explainers on migratory governance frameworks. This supports our efforts to spread awareness, empower activists with policy understanding and more broadly democratise engagement with migration policy and governance frameworks.

Through our previous In Conversation With series, we have interviewed world leaders, advocates, volunteers, authors and charity leaders to raise awareness on about the ongoing challenges refugees face in our society.

UNHCR UK PARTNERSHIP

We partner on work across our research, advocacy and anti-extremism efforts and are always open to new proposals. Our Forced 2 Flee X UNHCR UK partnership is designed to support our awareness raising efforts.

CAMPAIGNING

We are currently building a strong base of research from which we plan to launch a campaign soon... watch this space! We are open to collaborate and receptive to research requests around specific policy areas.
